Heart Trim Sample made on LK140
by Charlene Tate
Knit side and purl side shown in pictures.
E-wrap cast on 10 ndls *K 10rows.
Pick up the 2nd st from each edge of the CO
and hang on the center 2 ndls.*
Repeat between * - * for desired length.
Bind off.
Use a small claw weight to help the ndls knit off cleanly.
I used a contrasting thread loop,
held on loosely as I knit,
to mark the sts to be picked up,
until I could easily recognize which to pick up.
Haven't thought of how I could use this one yet!
Any ideas?
Ok - I have been given a couple good ideas!
How about hearts in pale pink on a baby girls neckline?

I have a question too. How would you attach it to another knitted item? I can see it as a trim down the front of a pullover or cardigan; as an afghan trim.

I have an afghan book that uses the heart trim to join panels of plain knitting. Haven't made one of those yet, but the pics look nice and the panels would sure be quick with only the joining taking time.
